From One Parent to Another
Hey there,
If you’re here, maybe you’re in the thick of it. Maybe you’re exhausted. Maybe you’re quietly wondering if it’s supposed to feel this hard. If so, I just want to say: I see you.
I built Ploof because I’ve been where you are. Twice.
With my first child, I had what I thought was a plan — a traditional Chinese confinement nanny to help me recover. But what I got instead was stress, anxiety, and a deep sense of failure. The second time, just days after giving birth, my entire family caught COVID. I was barely holding on — physically and emotionally. What followed was five long years of trying to undo the damage — physically, mentally, emotionally. I was riddled with anxiety, withdrawn from the world, turned into a shell of myself. And all of it started because I didn’t get the right care when I needed it most.
So I created what I wish I had: a companion that listens, supports, and shows up. Not just with good advice, but with warmth, structure, and presence.
Ploof is here for the 3AM breakdowns, the guilt, the questions you’re too afraid to ask.
For when you love your baby but don’t recognize yourself.
For the moments you feel like you’re failing, but are actually doing the hardest job in the world.
You’re not alone. You were never meant to do this alone.
Let Ploof hold you the way you hold everyone else.
With love and solidarity,
Jing
